Internet Voting

(October 17th, 2022 to October 24th, 2022)

Internet Voting will be conducted throughout the entire voting period for eight consecutive days beginning Monday, October 17, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. and ending at the close of the polls at 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, Monday, October 24, 2022.

Paper Ballot Voting

(October 24th, 2022 only)

In-person, paper ballot voting will only be offered on Election Day, Monday, October 24, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to the close of polls at 8:00 p.m.

 

Who can vote?

Below are the requirements under the Municipal Elections Act to vote:

  • a Canadian citizen;
  • at least 18 years of age or older;
  • a resident in the City of Pickering or the owner or tenant of land there, or the spouse of such owner or tenant; and,
  • not be prohibited from voting under the Municipal Elections Act (MEA) or otherwise by law.

Voter Assistance Centres and Voting Locations:

Starting October 17th (the 1st day of the Voting Period), Voter Assistance Centres (VACs) will be available to electors who need assistance with the Internet voting process, who may not have internet access to cast their Ballot using the Internet Voting System, or need to add or update their information to the Voters’ List.
